Since 9-11 people can no longer send letters to military members addressed 'any soldier'. Someone created a website called 'any soldier.com' where people can connect with deployed military personnel to find out what they would like to have sent to them. When in Iraq I asked for old National Geographic Magazines. I received so many boxes of them every day that it became almost too much to deal with! We received some pretty unusual books, too.

I made this cover shot as a spoof on some of the things that happened within our unit while on deployment. Getting any photographs in National Geographic would be a dream come true.
